Leland Fleming (first and foremost) is a Christian who believes in using his talent to encourage, teach and train others to use their musical abilities to the fullest! He serves as one of the pastors at the College Park Church of Christ in Conroe, TX. He is entering his 17th year with Heaven Sent Choirs where his choirs have won various awards in competition. He has been actively teaching music in the church for 30+ years and is truly an inspiring teacher. He also plays guitar and piano; and enjoys teaching rudiments of music.
Leland believes in providing a positive environment in which to learn; and offers a well-rounded approach to the choral program. Using Christ-centered concepts and purpose for music instruction, he delights in leading choirs, congregations, and singing ensembles. He teaches sight-reading, vocal technique and music essentials in an easy to understand manner.
Leland is married to Jill, and has been home educating his children for close to 30 years. He is blessed with 9 wonderful children and 10 beautiful grandchildren.
Merri Ann strives to instill the love and passion she feels for music in her students each week. She is entering her seventh year teaching with Heaven Sent Choirs where they have won various awards in competition. She was home-schooled from kindergarten through high school and has actively participated in choral music for more than 20 years.
Merri Ann values the powerful impact that music has on lives. She believes that with music many things are possible. Her prayer is that through the teaching of vocal technique, sight-reading, and music theory, her love for music will shine through to her students.
Tori Parkin is a recent high school graduate. She has been homeschooled for her entire education. She has been a student of Heaven Sent Choirs for thirteen years and she had the opportunity to be a part of the TPSMEA All -State Mixed Choir her senior year.
Tori helped serve as a student director her last semester in choir. She has enjoyed her time as a student and now looks forward to continue learning as an assistant director. She has a passion and love for music and wants to use the gift God has given her to glorify her savior.
